Travel to school

Planning your school travel is easy. There are a range of safe transport options to get to our school. Check our location map, driving details and public transport options to help make the journey to school safe and easy.

We are located at Ridgeland Ave, NSW 2071 Killara.

Use School Finder to find out if you live in our local intake area.  Please note, we do take out-of-area enrolments, but this depends on student numbers in your child's intended year.

Dropping off and picking up children at our school

We have three pedestrian entrances. The main entrance is located in Ridgeland Avenue. There is also a back gate entrance in Fitzroy Street and also a laneway from Calvert Avenue. For the safety of the entire school community, there is no vehicle access to the school grounds. A designated drop off zone is located off Ridgeland Avenue. This should be used for dropping children off in the morning and picking up children in the afternoon (drivers should not alight from cars). Parents are not to park in the staff car park and should not access the school via the staff car park. Please use the main pedestrian entrance on Ridgeland Avenue.

Drivers should not wait in the drop off zone when picking up your child.  You must park your car in the street and walk in to collect your child. The road and turning circle should remain clear at all times.

Getting to and from school safely

As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.

Keep our school community safe by:

• driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
• being a good role model
• never calling your child from across the road
• using the safest place to cross the road.

Catching public transport

Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.

Catching a bus

A school bus runs from Killara railway station to our school at 8.55am every school day morning and from our school to Killara railway station at 3.33pm every school day afternoon.  Students need a student Opal card in order to use this service, and they must remember to tap on and off for every journey. Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones
• follow speed signs
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.

Please note there is no parking for parents on school grounds.
