Library

Your child will visit the library each week for a library lesson. Borrowing from an extensive range of reading material is an important component of this lesson.

Your child will be able to borrow two books so a library bag will be required with your child's name and class on it. These are available from the Uniform Shop or alternatively you may provide one of your choice. Borrowing time is for two weeks, however books may be renewed for a further two weeks.

Your child will be introduced to the various sections of the library. Activities will take place to supplement work covered in classrooms. Information skills are taught from Kindergarten to Year 6.

In the event of your child not returning their book by the due date (2 weeks), the librarian sends an overdue note home as a reminder. Then if the book is not returned, a second note is sent home asking for the replacement cost of the book. Parents are required to pay for books lost or damaged beyond repair.

The library is also open during lunchtime on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:10pm to 1:30 pm.
